Map of the Future – showcase your sustainability initiatives to the world

07.10.2022

Dear organisations,

On behalf of Wechange eG (Germany) and the NGO ‘Synergy Sustainable Development Agency’ (Ukraine), we invite you to register your organisation on the Karte von morgen/'Map of the Future’ platform – an interactive online platform for mapping sustainable initiatives, companies and organisations. It is often educational institutions, small initiatives, alternative businesses and social entrepreneurs – who are not particularly visible in the commercial landscape – that show us what the world of the future will look like. Such sustainable initiatives are implemented to tackle the challenges of environmental and economic crises and work towards sustainable development. Organic farms, eco-start-ups, free educational initiatives and workshops, energy communities and other visionaries – these are all examples of a new, sustainable future.

The ‘Map of the Future’ helps raise awareness and visibility of sustainable initiatives and encourages collaboration across the diverse landscape of social transformation by highlighting existing local initiatives using open-source software. The interactive map provides information on places where change is already underway in the form of research, transformations and the implementation of sustainable innovations in your region. Here you can find partners, investors and like-minded people, and showcase what you are already doing to promote the region’s sustainable development. Currently, the ‘Map of the Future’ is actively used primarily in German-speaking countries.

However, the first initiatives have already been mapped out in Ukraine.

Is there no ‘Map of the Future’ in your town yet? Then join us!

Through your initiative, you’re making the world a better place and doing your bit every day for a sustainable future.

Visit the English version of the map and add a new post.

A new post on the map can be categorised as:

(a) an initiative,

(b) a company, or

(c) an event.

Please provide the name, contact details and a description of your initiative.

#Hashtag – an important feature of the post, as it allows users to find posts based on their interests.

This is what the profile for your ongoing initiative, company or event will look like on the platform.

Users can rate each initiative against six criteria: diversity, sustainability, fairness, humanity, solidarity and transparency. This is how the initiatives are ranked. The higher the rating, the higher your initiative will appear in the list and in the search results on the ‘Map of the Future’. Environmental friendliness and care for the natural environment play a particularly important role in this.

Visit the «Map of the Future» and make your mark on the path to further development. Showcase all the best that Ukraine has to offer the world, and join the European community of visionaries and creators of the future!

Let’s bring our shared victory closer!

Glory to Ukraine!

The mapping exercise is being carried out as part of the “Civil Society Energy“, project, implemented by WECHANGE eG (Berlin) and the NGO “Synergy Sustainable Development Agency” (Vinnytsia) with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office.
